Eating Ice Cream For The Glory of God!

I was telling someone today what a good verse this is to memorise and they said, “But isn’t it basically the same as Col 3:23 – ‘Whatever you do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men.’?”

So I said, “Well in a way… but if you ate ice cream heartily you could finish the whole tub with no problems.

On the other hand if you are doing it for the glory of God, which means you would want to honour God with your body and therefore eat healthily, then you probably wouldn’t want to eat the whole tub!”

This verse is always a great reminder to me to do EVERYTHING for the glory of God!

Memorising Tip: Always say the reference before or after the verse (or both!) when you are learning and reciting a verse so that you memorise where it comes from. That way you can look it up when needed.
