Moving on After Failure
This is something we heard in yesterday’s sermon, called ‘Recovering from Setbacks.’ The Israelites tried to attack a city and failed because someone in their camp had hidden sin. But when they dealt with it, God forgave them and then wanted them to go right back and fight again.
What Clint pointed out yesterday is that God wants us to go back to taking ground after we have failed. But to do that we need to stop dwelling on our past sin and instead repent, get back up again and move on. “Live in the victory of the shadow of the cross.”
‘For a righteous man may fall seven times and rise again,
But the wicked shall fall by calamity.’
Proverbs 24:16
